i have the same problem.I have a mix of mods (409b1+1.1).The first launch i have the taskbar and not works.Start+switch to desk+il2 again and all works. The second launch (and third, and fourth...) il2 works fine. I have tried all things suggested but not solved. Is there anybody with any other idea for solve? Thank's and sorry for my bad english.
Still another not-solving, but perfectly working workaround...
Open Notepad or anything else eating NO resources before starting IL2. If the mouse doesn't move during the blue loading screen, ALT+TAB out into Notepad and back into IL2. The mouse should be movable now.
Seems strange to me, though. A programm started should draw the focus to itself EVERY time, not just sometimes (as it is with my version - 4.09mb). Is there something in the setup.ini to change this?

Seems like a problem with the resolution for the 4.09+mods, I did what my friend said, and it fixed me, perhaps it was coded by a bloke who used the same res setup, and the snafu comes if u don't use the same, the world may never know.
