Hi guys
I cant make the dam* game to work.
I installed the game, patch 4.08, patch 4.09, UI 1.1 than patch 1.1.1 than crash at 5%....................
will throw my fuc*ing pc by the window!!!!!!!!! :evil:
Please, I need a hand for that........

I don't know if this is the cause of the problem, but you don't need to install the 4.09 patch as it is included in the UI. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

1. Make sure window is open
2. .......... :lol: :twisted:

Also run il2setup.exe and check the sound/video settings and in sound tab make sure the sampling rate is set to 44100Hz.

If your iL2 1946 is a download from somewhere and not a CD version try this fix

I have the same problem; il2 1946 4.08m as fresh install + UI 1.1 (tried several mirrors), and the sampling rate is set to 44100Hz.

I'm this close to breaking down and installing UI 1.0, plus a few dozen mods. And trying to make them work..

The thing is that I'm not at homw right now so I cant test anything.... but it was working 1 month ago :evil: ...
Plus it take SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo long to uninstall and reinstall that game :x

WEEELL, don't be a fool then. if u want to reinstal, delete the game manually, then with Winreg delete the il2 registry entries.

This is really improtant to anyone that has to do a reinstall, many little fragments remain even after an uninstall is done, found this out the hard way...

I got it working also! Vista had problems installing 4.08, so it seems. After installing the patch I got a warning message it wasn't installed properly, with the option to reinstall it using recommended settings.

1- Install the game (for me, installing it by default changed nothing)
2- Install patch 4.07
3-Install patch 4.08
4- Install UI 1.1
5-Install Patch UI 1.1.1

Worked fine :wink:

Now I copied the whole IL2 folder at an other place, an I'm making a backup
Wont make that 2 times to me :lol:
