Upon installing new planes in v.4.09,they show up in QMB aircraft drop-down menu in an arbitrary order - i.e. not alphabetically.
Is there a way to rectify this?Out of all those aircraft,it's tedious to find the one you want.

i think if u open the plane_ru u can rearrange them in there.

It is the order they appear in the air.ini that determines this. You can rearrange the order in the air.ini however you wish.

Nope. Its the air.ini...

Here's the problem though. Every time you install a new plane on AAA that has an auto-installer, it will prompt you to alphabetize them again.... and if you say no, then the installation doesn't finish (I've tested this once)

So my recommendation is arrange the aircraft however you want in your air.ini and then save it somewhere so that you just add the new lines of the new aircraft again to YOUR copy and then replace.

Well.the thing is that with plane.ru and air.ini the planes therein are already in alphabetical order.This occurred automatically and properly.
Nonetheless,the drop-down menu is still slightly jumbled.

With some planes, the problem is they have different names in the air.ini from the names that pop up in the QMB or FMB menus. Take the Hawk 75 for example, its listed as the P36 in the air.ini but it shows up as the Hawk 75 in game, which means its listed just before the P38 instead of with the planes whose names start with H.

Yeah,I've got it now.It seems that in the plane_ru file,it's the planes listed in the second column that show up in the drop-down menu.Simply a matter of moving the needed line up or down as required.Thanks everybody for your input.
