Hi to all guys..
I feel a bit stupid asking this: I've installed in my Il 2 some mods like 3rd eye smoke mod etc...
but when I try to install a new plane, I can't find the "air.ini" :???:
Can anyone please help me?

Right now you need to install either Unified Installer or the Spitfire Mk1 mod to get the air.ini file

damn I have another problem: when I copy and paste a string to air.ini the pc says that I can't save it :???:

I have the same problem. My air.ini has gone awol. I installed the Spit MKI mod, and my game quit at 60%. If someone could just give me their air.ini, or provide me with an alternate solution, that would be great.

Make sure the properties on the air.ini file do not say read only. If they do, you need to change it to archive.

Ok I figured out how to save the planes but now IL2 crashes at 60% so im still lost

Did you copy and paste the weapons.ru and plane.ru info in those folders? And did you drag and drop the actual plane model in the mods folder. Sometimes I forget to drag and drop the plane in the mods folder.

O.K. I fixed the loading part. I took out the \com\maddox\il2\objects air.ini and it works fine. I want to know where I have to put the air.ini in. Can I put it just in the il2 sturmovik folder or does it need to be in a certain path? I still can't get the plane to show up in the game even when I did everything. I think it may just be the air.ini problem. Sorry, I'm very new to this stuff.
