No Djibouti map in FMB
#1

I have installed ag_Djibouti 1.2 after installing 1.1 in Mapmods, but it doesn't show in FMB. I have installed the two lines in all.ini. I get this error message: error.java lang. RuntimeException: Landscape 'ag_Djibouti/load.ini' loading error.
Can anyone help me?

there is conflict between load.ini and actual texture files (or map files ) you have in your installation ...

to get more details please open console ( shift+tab) while in FMB and read error message

From the Djibouti 1.2 thread...

agracier Wrote:Here we are with the FMB maps with the right name - just pop into your ag_Djibouti directory and overwrite the older misspelled ed_m01/02.tga files ...

thanks for pointing this out. Little details like that aren't always easy to catch on your own ...

Overwriting older misspelled files with ag_djibouti-somaliland files did not work.
fly_zo,s suggestion yielded a load error land/summer/agracier/Spain_Tex_Brown_120.tga.
Corrupted file?

Corrupted file?

not necessarily ... check file name ( actual file) and check path for it in load.ini ( all slots which use that texture )

I've checked and compared eyerything. Still no joy. I guess I'll delete it, reDL everything and try again. If it still doesn't work, I'll keep tinkering with it or else forget about it. It's not a big priority.
It would just be nice if it worked.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Do you have that file in the accompanying texture folder? And if you do, and the map loading still gives that error, pm me and I'll resend the texture you mention.

As an extra check on the map, you can always take a load.ini from another map, one you know works, and copy it into the Djibouti map folder (backup the original load.ini first though). You won't get a good looking landscape, but if it loads properly nonetheless, you'll know that the loading fault lies either in a missing texture or perhaps a faulty line in the original load.ini ... will help narrow it down at any rate.

Another thought is this one: the error line you mention here, load error for texture ....Spain_Tex_Brown_120.tga ,,, happens to be the first texture line that will be read in the load ini that contains a custom file. Once that happens, all loading stops.

Say that you correct that one line, then at next load, you will get an error at the next line in your load.ini ... and so on.

All of which makes me suspect that the custom textures directory may not be in the correct location for this map.

Check that you followed the location given in the install.txt.

'4/Copy the textures that are contained in the directory ...MODS/Mapmods/_Tex/ag/Spain...
to the following location in your game install:
...MODS/Mapmods/maps/_Tex/ag/Spain/...'

Here is a screenshot of how your texture directory for Djibouti should look.

Hope this makes it bit clearer. Sometimes writing does not always convey the same clearness as an image does.

Texture directory is correct; looks just like yours.
Installed a load.ini that I know works from another map; still no map.
I have the Tex_Brown_120.tga in texture folder.

and the console (shift+tab) error message - what does it say? Still the same about the error in loading 'Spain_Tex_Brown_120.tga' ?
