Since Hyperlobby servers are run by individuals and AFAIK, the maker of HL has no control over what versions are run on individuals servers, your last remark seems rather, well, unnecessary.

as to the starting remark of this thread:

1946 CD => 408 => U.I. 1.1 => U.I. 1.2 => SAS modact v2. Result: 409m + 1.2.

All is working as advertised, everything is complete, I threw 3 other installs away and am now a happy camper....

Hey, where can I get the SAS Mod act? I found the latest buttons file from them, but not this. My current (pre-UI1.2) mod folder is past where UI1.2 is anyway, and I'd like the 409 content in there.

...as far as I know mods only work with 4.08 and 4.09b1m.
Anybody correct me if im wrong.

Mods work with 4.09, the only problem, currently, is that we have no compatible AAA buttons, and have to use the SAS buttons, which are not kosher for online use.

It really is important for 'disgruntled' users to note that everything you get in these Installers is FREEEEEE!!!!!

The guys doing the modding have real-life jobs, or college/University to attend. This is all done in their spare time...for FREEEE!!!!!

Yes, if they worked on this officially and gave you four,five even six versions of the game, then get on your high-horse. But for crying out loud! I know how long these guys have been working away, unpaid, unappreciated (by some), whined at, asked more times than anyone can count "when's it out?", and now they have the "When is 1.3 out?" questioning!

They have spent their own time and effort, for the good of the game and the community, and 4.09 came out well after beta testing on 1.2 was underway.

For God's sake, give them a chance! I'm sure at some point in the future 4.09 will be absorbed, but for now, be happy with 1.2 and a whole host of extra content that you will never see from the official Oleg channels in IL2!

The only reason 4.08 lasted as long as it did was because there was no dedicated server till the modders made one.. but that was for 4.09b1. There is nhow an official 4.09 DS.. soon 4.08 wuill go the way of it's predecessors.. As for the versions w or w/o 6DoF.. That always kind of bugged me too.. it would seem that the mod packs would just include it.. If you don't have TIR or dont use it then turn it off... but IMO 6DoF should be included in all the mod packs.

This community will be around for some time. I have no dougbt about that.
