... sure, you get a CTD at 95% if you have a "heavy duty" puter

at 70% if you own a "middle of the road" puter

at 60% if you possess a "regular folks" puter

at 20% if you don't have a puter at all Big Grin

That 60% CTD guide was written by SAS Cirx, and he also wrote other similar guides which used to be here on the AAA forum, but are now gone. They are/were on the SAS forum, and once that comes back online, I'm sure they will still be there. Since it was Cirx that removed the guides from this forum, I'm certain we would need his permission to put them back up.

Just going from memory:

5% CTD is usually missing or corrupted .SFS file(s). One common cause for this is when you forget to patch to 4.08 before installing a Mod Activator, for example.

20% CTD Can't recall, but I think this one is not common

60% CTD caused by problem with air.ini, aircraft mods installed, and buttons, as in the guide posted by Panama Red. Usually adding new aircraft to air.ini without updating buttons that they require.

70% CTD caused by problems with static.ini, stationary.ini or technics.ini (mods which require editing of those files)

95% CTD have lately been related to the new mg_snd.dll and mg_snd_sse.dll in the 4.09m patch
