I started this one well over a year ago; probably when the excellent Philippines map appeared.

I then put in on hold because I thought we might get some of the many missing Japanese aircraft added by modders, but unfortunately still no Ki-43-111 "Oscar", Ki-44 "Tojo", Ki-45 Toryu "Nick", Ki-48 "Lily", Ki-49 "Helen", Ki-21-11b "Sally", Ki-67"Peggy", D4Y3/4 "Judy" or P1Y "Frances"!

So if anyone is interested I could release this one as is. A few screenies;

Terrible loss without these missing Japanese planes. You could use the Ki-21-II Sally to substitute for the Ki-21-III Sally, and the Ki-43-II Kai 1943 to substitute for the Ki-43-III.

Yeah, I think there's enough to go on. I've got 5 missions so far so I reckon another 3 should do. 2 Ki-61 and 1 more A6M5 I think....

Please don't hold it up for that reason! Those minor differences in the models isn't going to matter.
Tell me that this will be flown from the Japanese and American viewpoints....right?
By the way, is that beautiful Fletcher class destroyer a stock ship?

No worries Pooch - yep the destroyer is the stock model. I've only got a couple more missions to source, build and test (Ki-61 & A6M5), then it's just a case of sourcing all the skins and then done.

I think the planes I miss the most for this are probably "Tojo", "Nick" and "Judy", the others can be got around.

I'd do a US pack too but I'm a bit short of historical detail - if anybody wants to help me with the research I'd be happy to do that......

I'm certainly willing to help. I have lots of information. Military aviation history is my thing. If you look at my library, you'd think, "Geez! This guys a fanatic!"

I've just about got enough detail to do probably 3 US (aces) missions over the Philippines 44-45; McCampbell F6F Leyte Gulf 24/10/44, McGuire P-38L Luzon 25/12/44 (Ki-44's missing for this one) and Shomo P-51D also Luzon 11/1/45.

I'll start on those when I've finished and uploaded the Japanese pack. After that I reckon I'll be heartily sick of the Philippines! hock:
