I have been sitting on this fence waiting for the dust to settle for quite some time. Then when I thought my time to jump on board had come, I lost my 1946 DVD. Uhhh, had to order it again. Finally It came in the mail. By then I had PATIENTLY downloaded HSFX in all of its parts plus the 4.1 patch. Now, I took the time and loaded a fresh install.
I had no idea this sim had received so much love from the mod community. The sounds, the visuals, the aircraft but most of all, The Action!. This is a completely new sim now. I would say that modders added a few years to this Sim. My old copy is now gone, there is no point. The new HSFX 4.1 copy looks like a console game on a PC.
If you don't have HSFX, GET IT. Make a Fresh install. Even if you need to purchase the disk. Download HSFX patiently part by part. Then sit back and enjoy the most beautiful sim ever made. This is fantastic.
Flying through the Slovakia Winter map. Clouds are incredible, the a.i. is trying to kill me like never before. Explosions are breathtaking. Its a whole new game!
