I've just made a new clen re-install of whole game in order to enjoy HSFX at it's full...
I'm sorry to ask, but I'm trying hard and just can't find a way to disable "Gray-curved-bullets-smoke-trails" effect...

You can't disable it because it is in the SFS files, however, you can install the gray curving smoke trail mod from 1.2 by creating a mods folder in your HSFX 4.X install and edit the SmokeBlack_BuletteTrail.eff file and change the LiveTime from it's current value to 0.0 and that will efectively remove the smoke from the game, but it will do it to all smoke tails, I believe. I have not testested it though, so do so at your own risk.

Hi

I have been looking into a way to make a switcher with user custom profiles to be able to quickly switch different things such as gun smoke or bullet casings. I have been working on this for several months but I am slow. When the move to HSFX came I had to start the project almost from the beginning. This is my very first major mod project, so you can understand.

The ultimate objective of mine is to enable both shell casings and gun smoke! This would open the door for others, who are better at the tech stuff, to combine mods that weren't available before this. Some at AAA take a very dark view of this type of effort, but I don't know why. Can someone shine light on this whole thing for me?

Anyway, when I am at least close to finishing this project, I will let people know, probably discretely.

Pretty sure the JSGME option "Effects Low" restores stock smoke trails....but still can't get .303 trails to work.
