I have a fresh install of 4.08m on a new Win 7 x64 machine. IL2 4.08m runs great. I copied over the AAA UI 1.1 files from my old machine and ran the exe to install them in the c:\program files (x86)\ubisoft\Il2 Sturmo..1946 folder. When I run the version switcher to get to 4.09b1 mod with 6dof i get this error

" c:\program files (x86)\ubisoft\Il2 Sturmo...1946\_Game Switchers\4.08 mods off (original) not found"

I have verified that this "_Game Switchers" folder is there and it contains the "4.08 mods off " folder with two files in it- they are "IL2fb.exe" and "files.sfs"

Can anyone help?????

Did you copy the version switcher to your desktop of did you make a shortcut to the desktop?

If you copied it to the desktop that's the message you will get. Try running the switcher from the 1946 folder

Every now and then, I used to get that with my U.I. 1.1 and a simple reboot fixed it. I could never figure out why it happened, though.

I checked and Win 7x64 has two .net 2.0 framework services one for x86 and one for x64. Neither were started so I started them one at at time (you can't start both) and tried again. Same result "file could not be found"
I am launching the version switcher from within the x86 IL2 folder (and I am launching IL2 from that folder also)
I have run the BAT file and it tells me everything for 6dof is on but no matter what I can't get the z-axis in 6dof to work. I also tried toggling the seat postion, gunsight view and FOV. I switched from Direct X to Open GL (almost cooked my MB with old drivers on my GTX295).

I had this knife fight with my old computer and it seemed like I changed something in conf.ini to make it work. I can't remeber what it was and maybe I just dreamed it.

I had the same problem when I used "winrar" to download my files into my il2 1946 folder. I must have done something wrong. So... I uninstalled winrar and used winzip. This made for a perfect install and all worked. (you also want to make sure you had the 4.08m patch installed before you tried to install UI 1.1
