[Zweihänder]

I originally posted this in the IL-2 Technical Help forum, but I've gotten no responses so far, so I'm posting in this one now.

I just started a career as an IL-10 pilot in the Sturmoviks over Manchuria campaign. Whenever I go near a significant number of enemy ground targets, the game crashes after a minute or so, with a message stating that IL-2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have the AAA Unified Installer 1.2 pack. I'm currently running it on 4.08 with sound mod and 6DoF.

system specs:
Windows Vista Premium 64-bit
EVGA Geforce GTX 285 video card
Intel Core i7 940 2.93 GHz CPU
EVGA X58 3X SLI motherboard
6GB(3x 2GB) Corsair 1600 Dominator RAM

Does anyone know what could be wrong? This is really annoying me. Any help is appreciated.

Don't know if this will help or not, but My IL-2 game (with mods) would crash before I could finish a mission in the "Manchurian" campaign. Until I noticed that this game, and "Delta Force, Blackhawk Down" made my processor run on the "hot" side. after installing a big new proc. fan and heatsink, I'm bombing the crap out of seelow heights, and ruling the skies over Manchuria!
