I have been trawling the site for several days to see if anyone has found a way to change the red and blue colour of the labels around.

I have found very little on the subject. Any one know how to do it ?

A nice mod idea for this subject, and may be what you're thinking of, would be to have friendly icons always show up blue and enemy always show up red.
For a long time, I've wished that the game had this option.

I too would like something like that. I always play blue when I fly, so it often takes a bit of changing nationalities around when setting up enemies ... and then often enough it isn't possible to get the correct voice pack working for the blue team. That' no big deal as such, but if it were possible to fly standard blue icons in all circumstances, it would be a great addition to the game ...

And by the way - flying against red doesn't have anything to do with Cold War ideology - red icons and the accompany red numbers in flight are simply much much easier to see, especially against a dark landscape ... blue tends to be less visible ...

Don't ask me. I play as Axis so it makes it kinda normal to have all my guys Blue as friendly and Allies as red for enemy. I got no problem.
