While your photoshop skills are pretty good, I'm going to have to play the role of critic, here.
A Flying Tigers P-40 wouldn't have been shooting down BF-109's and wouldn't have been flying over the Alps. And the pilot sure as Hell wouldn't have been wearing a modern day skull bucket.
A 15th Air Force Mustang or Lightning would have been a better choice.

Cool pic Smile I like the blood splatter in the 109

Is it me or does that 109 look like it has a FW190 D engine?

Cheers

LOL, you should'a known better than to post anything except traditional stuff here. always some ijit wanting to show off his 'way' superior knowledge here... you know, just like those seven year olds in the boys bathroom trying to out-pee one another. ha!

best to post up 'what-if's' or whimsical/fantasy stuff somewhere more adult. it won't be appreciated here, unfortunately. too many 'hey, i'm a bloomin' expert' types around that know everything there is to know about every friggin' thing and are just DYING to point it out to you. (think Ubi-Zoo.)

actually i thought it quite good and maybe not historical but it does give me a hell of an idea for a good 'fantasy' or strange war tale to write. thanks for that. good show.

Well excuse them for having an eye for detail... its not being childish but being critical as well as helpful

The P40 looks good, I've seen it used in a few screen edits now and never fails to please. but I would have had it all in the view not cut off in the corner.
The 109 look quite off, the nose and props need reworking.

All in all its a good effort, keep it up Smile

Beowolff- Well I don't agree. Pooch just pointing out facts - he wasn't all critical, he mention the picture, concept etc. was fine but it is dumb.

Well, I'm going to be an adult and ignore being called and "ijit".
If I hated the shot I would have ignored it, and moved on. Historical accuracy aside, the P-40 actually looks as though it belongs in the picture. That's what actually interests me most. If it wasn't there, and he put it in, it's very convincing. The lighting is right. The mountains are lit from the sun, the same way, in the shot. A lot of guys don't get that right and the plane looks tacked on. I'd like to know if the original picture contained the P-40, cause if it didn't, I'd like to know how it was done and would like to try it.
