If I remember right a Yorkown class is being modded by Team Daidalos at the moment!

Talking of requests for ships, there are already so many military vessels in the game, has anyone ever given thought to making a civilian passenger liner? Say a vessel like the Normandie, the Queen Elizabeth, the SS America and others which were used as troop transports during the war.

Don't say a large troop transport like that wouldn't make a tempting target in a convoy scenario ...

Personally, I'd like to see at least one US battleship and one Japanese battleship put into the game before anything else. It's a bit disconcerting in Pacific campaigns having to use the Bismarck and King George V all the time.

I would say if any passenger liner was to be modelled, the Queen Mary would probly be the most important, for it was the "FASTEST" of all passenger ships, it went full out 35 knot cruise, carried 16,000 American troops per voyage, and outran every sub the germans threw at it. And one sub who claimed to headon it never fired its torpedo.

It made hundreds if not thousands of voyages through WW2 and was retired in the 60's if I remember right, still on display as floating museum in California, I have some pics of it ext, almost as long as a battleship/carrier.

If not this then maybe atleast repainted US cruisers into Japanese ones could do, until better models were made, So I could finish my Aluetians campaigns, "ALL cruiser/battleship warfare" With some limited airsupport.

Wartime armorment was 2 x twin 40mm bofors pods and a few .50's i think, "Light armorment for a ship of it's size"
Its main defense was speed and camoflague grey paint.

Currently im working on this http://www.allaircraftsimulations.com/f ... hp?t=27175 but when I complete it which shouldnt be long now id be happy to give this a shot for you but you may have to wait a while. If you could provide me with a scaled and detailed blueprint of the ship (which will make my life easier) then its all good otherwise I may have to decline as I dont have the time to research images and stuff.
