Joystick setting problem - Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X
#1

Hello every one,
I have copied from muy old computer the whole game folder of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and installed also a new Joystick - the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X..The problem is 1.that the Elevator Axis (Y-+ axis) responds very badly. It is too slow. Especially in combat a loop is almost never ending .. . On the contrary the rudder Axis is too quick , altough the manual says that one could block with a screw this function and use only the Throttle which has a special button for it: but this is not a very good solution. The JoyControl from Oleg does not work very well and sometimes it will not recognise the settings. I copied the previous settings which I had in my Saitek Evo Force JS. This responds better but not as good as it was with the old JS. I tried to calibrate the JS on Control Panel and on the mapping function in the game, changing sensitivity, dead zone etc, etc. What do you suggest?
-2. The Throttle controls the acceleration (-+Z axis) but in the game on the screen I have 2 (two) speeds indications, one which is the one of my JS Throttle, the other one is created from the middle point ca(55%) so al landings the plane never stops because you might have min. 14%-40% speed even if the throttle is at 0. Can anybody help me or suggest something? Thank you all.

ive just bought the same stick. I had the non HOTAS Thrustmaster T Flight X previously and now im trying to find the best settings for it and which controls i should have on the stick and which to have as keyboard keys. Im very much a noob when it comes to flight simms but willing to put the time in to learn. Thanks Peypolman for the link ive downloaded the app you lnked to and i will give it a look cheers. If anyone with the same stick as i have would let me copy there settings i would appreciate it a lot as it would mean i could get on and learn the simm and not be fighting with the controls. :?
