Hello, I am making a semi-realistic east luftwaffe skin for the Mig-17 and was wondering what wars they were fighting, I understand they were sort of an extension of the soviet air power but who did they fight against because I'm also thinking of making a few missions.

If there are no wars they fighted in or anything then I guess I will just do a few more skins from my template and release them. And also can anyone point out some pictures or profiles of the East luftwaffe squadrons that used the Mig-17 because for once I would like to try a Real paintcheme. Please and thank you.
