There are a few of these color palettes out there, but I found this one recently: "Table of colors utilized on Soviet warplanes 1937-1947"--(hence, it includes the Russian aircraft used in the SPanish Civil War).

It explains clearly what colors were used and when and on what kinds of aircraft.
