Sad New from this week end...
#1

Dear Gents,

This week end was not a Happy Easter time for 2 families.

On Sunday afternoon, Yak 52 TD crashed at Fontenay-Trésigny. Pilot (62 years old) and passenger (37 years old) have been killed. The plane had been restored a few years ago.

One month before La Ferté, this is a sad new and all the community of WWII Warbird's fans is in mourning.

Condolences to families and friends, I have saw this bird flying many time...

Ted.

Ted,

It is very risky to fly old aeroplanes. Those who do so know this.

We owe thanks to them for their service to the history of aviation.

The Yak 52 was a fantastic design and those who fly them say they really have a great airplane.

Every couple years or so, a classic historical aircraft crashes, taking the pilot with it.
