Hi there, been a very long time since I last played IL-2 ( my laptop died ) and now I finally got a new (good ) pc put together , so after shedding some tears of joy I started to gather the latest modpacks and everything...I can't really remember which version of HSFX I played 1-1.5 years ago, I thought this 6.0 should be awesome...I followed the patching procedure ( 4.08-4.09-4.10-4.11.1 ) and it worked just fine...but the HSFX histomod and the 6Dof mod replaces the IL2fb.exe witha 156-225 kb. exe file and the game won't start. I tried it with the hfsx 5.0 , same thing happened. It's been a long while, really can't remember if there was anything else to do to get these packs working...I found only one post with the same problem so far he didn't get any answer...Sorry for bothering with such problem ( I have a feeling the solution is sg. obvious:-))))))) I tried, and I tried again...but no results. Thank You all for Your patience and for any info on this...I'm sure You all can imagine how I missed this game...thank You

Well, some of my problems got solved , I didn't install the 4.11.1 only the 4.11 patch...But now sg else is wrong, no mods to be found in either MODS folder, nor JSGMEMODS ( created by hsfx 6.0 -is that correct ? ) ....I'll keep on searching for info, but I guess I'll be back :-)

pistitom, it seems that you read the instructions for HSFX at the 242nd squadron and also the READ-ME file(s) in the HSFX 6.0 downloads, correct? The JSGME Mods Enabler is crucial for handling most mods.
Everything unique to HSFX 5.0 will not work with 6.0 (SAS Mods Activator for IL-2 4.10 will not work with HSFX 6.0, for example). For the sake of the readers: Do not mix 5.0 and 6.0 into one.
However, the basic ideas of adding mods to HSFX 6.0 are the same as the past:
(Add Mods by Files, Add Mods by MODS folder, or Add Mods by JSGME Mods Enabler)
