Hi folks. I've been eager to try the sound mod for a while but I have only just got around to downloading it and installing it.

My first attempt at using it has failed.

Firstly, everything is now in Russian.

Secondly, I can't hear any new sounds and I can't hear my guns anymore.

I just found the AAA site and it seems that this is the place to be. As a new user I'm a little overwhelmed by all the information here so can someone please point me in the right direction.

How do I get everything back into English?

How do I enable the sounds?

What can I expect from installing this?

Are the sounds in all planes altered?

Have FMs been changed?

What else should I be aware of?

Welcome mate.. The answer to your questions is to simply read the trheads in the discussion section and you will not go wrong.. It is a bit time consuming but you will find most of what you need there.. In the mod download section there are instuctions on how to install all the mods either manualy with the provided readme, or the use of a self installing program in the later mods..

first make sure that you have new file : filelist.txt in your game root dir. and new folder : Files.


that should get you sound working

Yep... I think I may have forgotten to copy that file across. I will try again.

I will also download the .92 version on the mod as I think I have read that it should fix the Russian interface problems... ?

Also I gather that it is necessary to use a utility to correct awards and Dgen briefings... ?
