Game Menu Interface
#1

Someone posted in some thread which unfortunately I can't remember an interface mod for the IL-2 game menu. I just accidentally sent my mod install to hell with a game version switcher I made, I forgot that I had the standard mod files in the switcher folder.
I found most other mods just fine and easy, but there were unfortunately some that are not included in the Mods Download section and are buried in some of the 12 sides of threads that are already here.

This mod made the menu look like the old Forgotten Battles one, and it looked much better I must say.
The blue of Pacific Fighters in contrast is just acid for my eyes. :x

So if anybody know what I mean could you PLEASE point me to the thread or give me a link?
I would be really grateful. 8)

And I think that MrJolly should include this mod in the Mods Download Section. Smile

I think this is what you're looking for. The file name is gui_mod but I don't remember where I downloaded it. It's a 224kb rar file and fly_zo was the author.

Thanks very much for the help much guys. 8)
And I'm glad that I could bring it to the attention of someone who didn't know this mod yet!
For me this mod is one of the best that came out so far, along the 6DOF one and some others.

~S~ Zo,
Another question...when I installed the QMB2.0 mod, it changed the title letters on the QMB to black...is there any way to restore the letters to the default white?

thank you gents Big Grin

@RAF_Magpie: yup but you need to "make" tga-s editable via game engine ( like with cockpit reskin)

- set one tga as background0.tga .... start game ....printscreen....past and resize in graph. editor .... save with same name , type and dimension as original tga was . Do that with all tga's ... and you'll get them editable....

@FA_Cheech: well, i guess that has to do with fonts and since my gui is using default settings ( no modded font file included) please check for changes among QMB2.0 mod files .... i don't have it jet so i'm not 100% certain .

thanks again
