Lets make a FW-190A-5 cockpit repaint (UPD 08.04.08)
#1

The FW-190A-8 and FW-190A-9 are under construction by FlushMeister and until now it looks great. Never saw a so good looking cockpit skin. You will find the topic here: http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/...24&start=0

I whould like to repaint the cockpit of the FW-190A-5 but I also know that there are a lot of other FW lovers in this forum. Some of them might be good skinners, other pilots perhaps have informations about gauges, panels, stencil and so on. All critics and works are welcome.

Getting the cockpitskins:
First of all, I had a look into into the .sfs files. It was like searching for some easter eggs. In the middle of the night I found them: A lot of .tgs files in a FW-190A-5 cockpit folder.

The next problem:

I could not open the .tga files with photoshop. So I had to search for an answer in this forum. I have found a tutorial topic that shows how to convert the .tga files. Wanted to work with this solution but it did not work. O surly make something wrong, but I dont know what. Perhaps it is the use of generatic mod enabler.

07.04.2008:
Now I know, how to convert .tga. I played a little bit with the skins to find the right main color (RLM66)

08.04.2008:
Today I have installed the bar MOD for the Focke Wulf Models. Looks great. I played a little bit with the alpha channels an made a little bit weathering into the *do not know the word* visor.

Thank you Tigershark

That is a really good question. When all skin parts are finished, I will make some fps tests. All skins are made in 1024 x 1024 pixel . But there is no problem to make a 512 x 512 pixel online version.
