Yes, we need some 'pea-soup' fog conditions, as well.....let's hope we can get a bigger variety of weather types... 8)

With FIREBALL Wind-MOD and JOSSE altitude-clouds, you can already adjust weather like you want.
You can fly in a pea-soup (overcast) without wind and turbulence.
Clouds can be placed at sea level. So you can take off in a cloud.

You must combine this two MOD : It's GREAT !

I've looked through my list of mods - I have Flushmeisters clouds, and a self-installing rar file called 'clouds'. Not sure which one that is, actually. So, I've probably missed one of the cloud mods to let me 'manipulate' the weather....any links, mate?

There are two types of precipitation in FMB: "Rain/Snow" and "Thunder".

Or am I missing something here?

Thunder = Rain but with lightning. Like a full on storm.

No. Rain/Snow = Rain or Snow, depending on the ambient temperature of the map. i.e. for "Moscow Summer" you get rain, and for "Moscow Winter" you get snow.

The weird map that confuses everybody is the newer desert map (which you used for your Iraq campaign) which has was given a very low ambient temp to stop engines overheating, and therefore has snow when it should have rain. Otherwise it's rain for summer, snow for winter.

If the ambient temp. for England in June map is set correctly, then you should get "rain".

Sounds good but I've been getting snow in Normandy summer. Maybe this is a glitch in that particular map. I'll have to experiment more. But thanks for the heads up.

a) You're using a modded map, and the mapmaker has set the ambient temp. incorrectly (suspect the default is zero), or

b) The version of the mod that you are using has set all your maps to the same ambient temperature, which is low enough for snow.

I was using a modded map. Thanks for this info, you have helped me solve a problem that was driving me nuts
