I have ordered the complete edition to compliment the 46. But when i went and bought 46 today it say the following on the back: "Also included: IL-2 Sturmovik, Forgotten battles, The ace expansion pack and pacific fighters". Did i buy the complete edition for nothing? :?

Yes you did.

1946 IS the complete edition.

1946 is the complete edition. The other "complete edition" you bought is probably an earlier one that is incomplete.
