place file: hud_log_ru.properties as : MODS\STD\i18n\hud_log_ru.properties

make sure you don't have same file present in some other mod's folder ( ctrl+F ...find...)

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\files\i18n\ folder?

I actually tried it both ways and it still says the same thing.

I see it is in the \MODS\1 Basic/i18n folder , the 1946\files\i18n folder & the \MODS\STD\i18n folder..

Now do you mean remove it from these folders? Make sure it says the same thing in each folder? or just look for it in some other mod folder.. which according to the search it isn't...

OK apparently I had to put it across the bd.. but now it has reset the speedbar mod back to kph.. Hmmm Ill have to figure this out... in all 3 folders..

You need just one copy of the file in MODS folder. It doesnt matter how you acomplish that... either create a separate mod for it or include the modified file in one of the standard mods.

I have it separated and I have a speedbar smaller increments mod also... I don't have one that transforms Km/h in Mph though.

If you want I upload a copy of my 2 mods... for exemplification.

I had the speedbar mod working.. I think I screwed something up when I did this though because now it defaults tp kph again.... Gotta try to figure that one out.. ... One more thing... I don't see a line for the nav lights & cockpit lights etc.. in the hudlog text. I would like to remove those lines of text.. since all I have to do is look down to see they are on... where is that line of text at?

I think you might have a duplicate file somewhere... could you point me to that mod for speedbar you use? I could take a look.


And for the lines for lights, they are there... they annoyed me also .

Wrapper loads files from "MODS" folder first and disregards same files if present in "files" folder

Hi Bearcat,

As zaelu said, it sounds like a conflict between mods. From a posting you made in another thread it sounds like you've got the HudConfig mod installed. If that's true, then there will definitely be a conflict between that and the mod you linked to in the quote above (HUD display in MPH & FEET). So you would need to remove the HUD display in MPH & FEET mod. And if you've got the HudConfig mod, there shouldn't be any reason you would need the HUD display in MPH & FEET mod. That's one of the mods that HudConfig was specifically designed to replace.

Bearcat, I have tested the mod you linked and it is all fine. There are no duplicate files between it and the hud log mod and I also test it in game and all is OK.

I guess, like Fireball says, you have a conflict with the other mod he is mentioning.
