Hirarchy of the mod files.......

.......it's not clear to me,does every mod come with it's own wrapper and sound mod that obviously will be overwritten everytime,or is installing those 2 once enough?
Example i'd like to install the Spit MK1,and have the wrapper and soundmod already installed,do i need to install the ones that come with the Spit download?

The Sound mod, whichever version you chose, only needs to be installed one time.

The Wrapper is what created the Mods folder and does not need to be downloaded each time but it does no harm if you do, it just overwrites itself.

The AC Installer is another matter.
It needs to be updated with each NEW SLOT PLANE installed and MrJolly updates it and links it in the download for the new plane.

You need the latest version, which now is 2.3 and available here: (The link is inoperative)

With this one (2.3) you should be able to install any new slot plane from the first one, the Spitfire Mk1 to the latest, Mosquito Mk B XVI.

Be advised, this has nothing to do with the AI planes that have been made flyable, only the new slot planes these guys have given us.

Ok,installed the AC v2.3,left the wrapper alone,installed the MK1,nothing!
Once installed do i need to run the choiceicon with the radar inside(sorry don't know how to put it otherwise..)because if i do it asks me to choosa a soundmod and after choosing a lot of files disappear?(wrapped?)
It didn't help to get the MK1 running though...........I noticed the AC installer holds all soundmods?

Ok,got the MK1 working,it's explained nowhere that after installing you have to run the insert DOSbatch file which actually INSTALLS stuff like the Spit!
Well thanks for all the help,i guess i finally understand how it works, thanks again!

When asked to select your soundmod version you should do so.

The Spit 1 is not in the list in the QMB screen?

Try this, reinstall the Wrapper, reinstall the AC Installer then install the Spit 1 and see if it works.

Edit:

You're welcome, glad you got it working.

So, you did a manual install?
