Hi guys, have been using the mods for the last 3 months, everything worked fine, was able to login to mod enabled servers till last week that upon trying to connect I got a connection timeout message. Disabled the mods and I could connect. I resorted in reinstalling the il2 46 again and then running the unified mod installer. Have already tried this twice......the outcome is the same ....mods on - no multiplayer. Has anyone encountered this ? ?? ?? ? thanx
If you're using the new textures that come with 4.09 you can't connect to servers that don't use them.
Might want to check that, as the textures aren't automatically switched off when switching to 4.08m mods off, at least as far as I've been told by a reliable source.
thanks for the quick reply guys, I always play at mod friendly servers when I've enabled the mods...the strange part is that I was able to connect to several servers using mods, then all of a sudden I got connection timeouts, then I uninstalled everything , after checking the ini files trying to find if there was anything wrong there, and re-installed using the unified installer.
have not installed version 4.09 however I noticed that by default the unified installer is set to run with the 4.09 version of the game. Anyways, I am able to connect using the .bat file to deactivate the mods completely, and I am not able to connect when I've run the 4.08mods.bat (something like that).
In my previous installation I was using jsgme so i thing at some point something went wrong and created a mess.
@arcticviper-->do u still think its a texture problem since i've only been using 4.08 ?
