BF109E-1 Crashes FMB
#1

does anyone know of a fix for the BF109E-1 crashing the Full Mission Builder when the Plane Tab is clicked?

For Example, what happens to me is i open FMB intending to build a coop, load any map, place a flight of 109E-1's on the map, then in the properties tab, make it a flight of four, Then click on the "plane" tab and it all goes south.. Mission Builder Crashes..

i don't think it's specific to my machine, i've had several friends experience the same thing with theirs.

running unified 1.0.. installed Ac installer 3 before installing the 109, and other than the crashing of FMB, it works.

Yes, I have the same thing whenever I set up a mission involving the BF109E-1. I can set up waypoints for it, but when I try for instance to change any parameters or assign custom skins to other similar BF109E-1's in the flight, then the whole game freezes and gives up the ghost.

I thought it was just me and my set-up and since there are generally enough other models of Bf-109's (too many even) I just shrugged and used another model Bf-109.

I suppose the BF109E-1 flight model is somewhat different from the others, which is a shame it doesn't work for Spanish Civil War missions.

But if there is a fix, then I'd be happy to learn about it.

What I do is make the mission with another aircraft (eg a Bf109E-4) and save it. Then when you are ready to play change the type to an E-1, adjust colour scheme, pilot etc. Save it and play.

That is when the FMB and game crashes, when i try and adjust the color scheme to the E-1. I can place waypoints and all, but as soon as I try to change anything else to the aircraft - number of planes, armaments, skins - then the game crashes.

Now, it's no big deal, there are enough other Bf-109's in the game to use anyway.

What if you setup your mission with say a E-4 like Sentinel said then change it and save in notepad/wordpad rather than FMB, and then go fly it - would that work?

Cheers
