Effects all in one !
#1

Hi guys,

Hers a link to my AAA Effects folder which houses all the AAA Effects in one folder (tracers/fires/explosions/smoke trails/ etc, etc), I've got so many in there I cant remember whos is whos anymore but you can chop & change at your will - I just think its handy having them all in one folder.

Just delete all other effects folders and run the .exe - or just add the folder to MODS, if you find stuff missing or prefer another effect to the ones here just add/overwrite etc.

Thanks to all the effects guys for this collection, I cant remember you all but you know who you are and I hope you dont mind me posting this here.

Mick

I agree. It is nice to consolidate. Nice effort.
I noticed that the grey curving and white smoketrails, and Buffys flak do not actually show.
I bust my head to figure out the conflict. It looks that the pertaining files are the only ones in the whole IL2MOD UI 1.1.1. If the above three mods are in their own folders, they work fine. Together and in the AAA_effects they don't.
Any ideas?

This is very nice, but isn’t it Wasy SEP?

Yep its based around Wasys SEP for sure but now contains ALL effects in one folder - BTW KDN how did you solve your problem?

The consolidation does not maintain the authors folder structure. I am not sure if the authors missed a branch or the structure on those particular effects is like that.

Anyway, Buffy's flak and Vas grey/white curved smoketrails, when extracted, create an "Effects" subfolder and not a "3DO\Effects\..." like the other mods in this consolidations do.
It seems that they need to be kept like to function properly.

Hmmm? Still works on my set-up, I will double check though.

Thanks for HeadsUp

At the beginning, the Grey curved smoketrails seem to work with your consolidation but then I realized that I had not disabled the UI 1.1 version of it.

It appears my post has upset one of the modders whose effects i've incorporated - only trying to be helpful mate and I wont respond to your somewhat abusive private message.

It was never intended to take any credit from the modders but just to provide a convenient way of combining all the great stuff around here.

Sorry for bothering - please dont download this if you dont agree with it !

Moderators please delete this if you wish.

Hi KDN,

Yep I never updated to 1.1 but stayed with 1.0 - looks like thats the reason.

So I downloaded the effects pack that is posted on this thread...the smoke from the guns looks great....however when I was testing all of the different effects out I was shooting up a bomber and as soon as I hit the bomber and some metal came off my game freezes instantly and then 2 minutes later it will resume. My computer isn't slow and the game runs perfectly smooth until I shoot and hit something. The game also ran perfectly smooth until I installed the effects. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you.

Hi RR,

Can only think you have a conflict with another effects folder - have you deleted/backed up any others in your MOD folder as this replaces all of them?
