Just out of interest, whats the best setting for indexed color when making skins for IL-2.

Normally use these settings;

Palette: Local (Selective)

Colors: 256

Force: Black & White

Transparency: Yes

Matte: None

Dither: Diffusion

Amount: 75%

Preserve Exact Colors: No

The Bright plug-in is a better option as it keeps all the original colours . After you install it , you just click on file / export / bright to export it as a bitmap and it resizes down to 1.0 mb without colour degradation. Think its available for download at Simmers Paint Shop . if not google it, it's well worth it .
