Hi There!
I was wondering about the possibility of modding the existing K-4 into the planned K-6/8 models,
engine and airframe would've been the same, only the armament differed in having Mk-108's in the wings additionally.
The wing armament is existing in the E variants, the K airframe also.
Would this be a major effort to create on of the very last 109's? Or is this Mod already existing?

I'm talking about changing the E-4/7 wing armament from MG/FF to Mk108 and modding this into the K-4 airframe (just to be absolutely clear :wink: ) Any chance for that?

There are optional 30mm gondolas for both K-4s which effectively turn them into K-6s in terms of armament

The Bf109K-14 wing would be a better fit, I think. Your Bf109K-6 would essentially be the Bf109K-14 with the Bf109K-4's 3-bladed propeller.

From my readings, the K-6 features the Db-605D engine and had 2x MK 108 (some sources say Mk 103) cannons in each wing. Really it is identical to the K-14 but less powerful engine and 3 blade prop.

The K-8 would just be a K-4 with armament reduced and a camera installed. None were actually built.

Gondolas, yes, I know about them. The fact that in reality the 109' wings retained the possibility of mounting two cannons (inherited from the E-model) and the drag induced by gondolas made me come up with my posting.
Speaking in terms of armament, they equal both A/Cs but with built in arms, the factor of the gondola's drag is erased. That's why I asked.

As for the K-14, thanks for the info, didn't know about these facts.
