I was just playing and it struck me how irritating and unrealalistic the inflight map is. Even if changing its apperance is too difficult, I was thinking can we move it so that it pops up over the gauges and doesnt move when you look around. I think that would be more realalistic, because if you were really flying, you wouldn't hold a map up in front of your face, you would lay it on your lap, or on the dash. As for the appearance, if it was possible to make it look like a folded road map, like you buy at the gas station. You know, the ones you can never fold back the same way it was when it was new, I think that would be a little more realalistic. Or if someone did the research and found out what the real maps looked liked and what the pilots did when they had to look at them. Mainly I think it would be better if it poped up somewhere and didnt move around with your view. Mabey on the side window or like I said before, on the dash.
