Make sure the ip address youre using is the right one.
The link below gave me the correct one, wich was completely different from the one I got from searching my puter.

This could also be port related..

make sure port 21000 (Default) for instance is set in the router of the host using the right IP with it.
For ArmA 2 its 2350 by default.

I hope this will be of any help to u.

I'd say its most definitely port related; setting a rule in your router set-up to allow the afformentioned port numbers for il2fb.exe (and ARMA2's exe) traffic should sort it - I went through this learning curve a while ago, if you have a router with a few pc's attached, make sure that the rule you make matches the attached device that needs the access to the port - on my Netgear router there is a table of 'attached devices' showing the (internal) IP address of each pc connected to the router - a rule that you make must be for a specific (attached device) internal IP address - they're the ones allocated by the router to attached pc's, not the external IP address - the one needed for your friend to connect to you if you are the server. Be aware attached devices internal ip addresses can swap around depending on what order the router sees them switched on! So make a rule you can edeit the last 2 digits of the address on or make identical rules that are selectable for whichever internal ip address is used by your pc on the day.
