No luck yet with lightening the canopy. I'll probably have to figure it out myself, which might take a while. :lol: Still working on the reticle. I also made it a little more transparent as it makes tracking easier.

Here are the relevant files. They most likely serve for both variants.
If the mat file makes no sense, at the very least you can use photoshop to increase the transarency of the TGA's. I included the bullet hole texture for good measure too. :wink:

Feathered IV: This is the solution I've been looking for! Muchas gracias. I changed the tga to simple transparency and it worked. However, the edges of the gunsight are undefined with 100% transparency, so I'll have to tweak it.

Ronnco - just tried your new reticle, many thanks.

I like the clarity of the new version (the old one made me think I needed reading glasses) but I find the lines perhaps just a little too fine. Because the lines are so thin the reticle as a whole seems to have lost brightness, and can appear quite faint. I don't know what would work best, thickening the lines a little or brightening the existing ones?

Anyway, it's still a great improvement on the stock effort. :wink:

It still has a few problems that I've cleverly hidden in the s/s. 8) I'll be putting up several when they're ready, and will probably revamp some of my older ones. I'll be re-doing VF-17 Corsairs too. Playing around with Kepford's #29:
