Running for the "O" Club?
#1

Everyone knows that when someone bails out of his kite and lands safely, the simulated pilot runs and lay prone for self-protection. This makes less sense after a successful parachute landing than it does a forced aircraft landing, but OK.

I would like to know, if the objective is to make all player flown planes with canopies open, as I have heard, then would it be possible to make the simulated crewmembers WALK not run to the nearest building when the bailout command is chosen and when their a/c are safely on the ground at an aerodrome? Additionally, could they head towards a building marked "OFFICER'S CLUB" when they safely land at their home base and the bailout command is chosen?

That would be SUCH a hoot.

Bail out command is by definition an EMERGENCY command. Makes no sense to use it when you're not in danger. So, it should rather involve a different key. (otherwise it probably involves making a MOD that decides what is an emergency situation and what is not: too tricky to really work).

It is a cool idea, though. But for moment being, I think it is much more needed and urgent to correct the Bail out command so that when you are in a plane with ejection seat and have just belly-land, you can jump out of the canopy and run, instead of getting stupidly killed by ejecting.

Also the sometimes hilarious walking on water stunts, should be looked at. Same goes for those iron men, when someone bails beside you and the pilot runs into your plane, the guy is so strong that he wrecks your plane. Be it that a wing or something is taken off.

A pilot never wants to be late for "happy hour" at the "O" club. As one ex-pilot, George Gobel, once said: "Most people never knew I drank until they saw me sober." Yea, a pilot will always find his way to the club, even if he has to crawl.

Are this brings me back to The FIRST Il-2 Sturmovk, I still have it installed and go on it regularly, I love those Square People and Fire that only points up even when upside down, and you only have two countries Russia and Germany, the same way as the the cockpit Cry This really dose go back to the good old days Big Grin back in 2001
