Hi there all

Right not being a techy and in general being new to the whole mod culture of IL2 I have the following questions.

I want to use the BF109 cockpit package posted hereabouts but: The Mods folder, what is this? Do I have to create said folder? if so whereabouts in the program files of 1946?

It also says to disable old cockpits used within the game by default for the type of aircraft your flying.
Is this correct or does it patch over said cockpits?
If no, then whereabouts in the program files do I find the cockpits folder to do this?
Also, would I need a .dll or.sfs file reading system on my PC?

I (for my untold sins) run Vista 32bit and it does not have the capability to read dll or sfs files

and to answer your question :

To be able to use any mod you need mod base ... options :

a) install AAA UI 1.2 (mod pack) .... compatible up to 4.08 or 4.09b1m

b) wait a day or so till HSFX 4.1 comes out (future cumulative mod pack compatible with 4.09m official) > recommended !

c) install sound mod or mod activator + wrapper .... separate mods > recommended only for experienced users

As Vista user make sure you gave UAC (user account control) disabled and that your user have administrative rights
