i installed 4.09m the right way but now when i load il-2 it loads in a window instead of full screen and it stays there please help

Hardware Setup...Video Modes...Full Screen.

Or, if you run a non-standard resolution (widescreen for example), open your conf.ini in notepad, and make:

FullsScreen=1
