Hi,
I just wanted to say that I am currently working on a skin for the P-51B Mustang. It will be the plane of Wing Commander Stanislaw Skalski, the highest decorated polish pilot in WW2.
I use the template from the game because it's not bad at all, unlike for example the Hurricane.
So far the basic stuff is done, the three tone paintjob (80% done) and most of the invasion stripes.
What's missing: The insignia are not done yet and some of the details are still missing, like the reg number, the small polish insignia at the nose and the crosses for each win beneath the cockpit.

I will also try to upload some screens today and maybe this week everything is ready.
If someone had done this one before, sorry I didn't notice that, although I couldn't find one.
If not and someone suggested it, here it comes. :wink:

This is my first skin since FS2004 and I hope you will like it.

As promised I managed to put some screens on the interweb.
As you can see it's still pretty far away from being finished. Stuff is missing, here and there are some tweaks necessary but I hope I can sit down and finish it this week.

Hey, there is a great and well organized P-51B template by Jarinks out there; it would probably make this project much easier.

Thanks and thanks for the template mate. This surely will make it easier and the result should be better as well but I've actually got a problem with the standard template.
Do you know how to remove the white on the airvent beneath the wings? I just can't get rid of that piece of white on the upper side of it. Nevermind just asking :wink:
Perhaps this won't be a problem with the new template anymore.

Skalski's Mustang. Great! I remember I've read a book by him titled "Black Crosses over Poland" - this book changed my life & thus began my aviation hobby.

So far, things are going nicely and I managed to do the paintjob and the stripes. As you can see on the pics the stripes are still missing on the flaps' undersurface and they are not quite even on the tail and one wing. The airvent under the wings is not ready and as yesterday on the old one the details are missing (Insignia,Kills)
At the moment I'am working on the stripes and try to correct them so they fit.
