real campaigns
#1

Hey all,
I posted yesterday about how to make my own campaigns. I want to thank those who relpied. It was a big help.

Now I've got another question... When I make my own campaigns, the game remembers nothing of what I destroyed. After I complete one mission and move to the next, all the cities and everything are back to new??? In the campaigns provided with the game, IL-2 remembers what was destroyed and it stays destroyed throughout the entire campaingn.... How do I do this??? I want IL-2 to keep the destroyed stuff destroyed just as with the provided campaigns.
Can anyone help? Any advise?

S! Here some infos:

But if you destroy an object in a mission, in the next one you need to remove it manually during mission planning. I don't think there is a tool/mod for updating maps considering the previous mission result. (if I wrong, pls post it Big Grin it would be fantastic).

I think it only works with dynamic campaigns.
I don't know what's the difference between making static campaigns and dynamic campaigns.
But I know that the dgen generates all the missions for you when the campaign is dynamic.

suffice it to say that dynamic campaigns are much more complicated to make then linear ones, and both have drawbacks and strengths. Static or linear campaigns (same thing) are simply one mission after the next, where nothing you did the previous mission affects the next mission, with only your player profile, kills, etc, being updated. These are good for following historical events in real life, as each mission can be guarenteed to be accurate. A dynamic campaign is made in an entirely different manner, and can be much harder to produce, but has the obvious benifits of being completely dynamic.
