I recently had to delete and reinstall IL2 (I have the download version). Before the reinstall, it worked fine. Now of course my mouse freezes on the startup screen. I have reviewed the forum posts and have tried the ALT TAB and the CTRL ESC Windows ideas and nothing works. I am using a standard optical MS mouse. Other than doing a second reinstall tonight, does anyone have a better solution? This is occurring with 4.08M. Does 4.09 solve this problem?
I used to have the same problem regularly.
Could always fix it by pressing Ctrl/Alt/Del to bring up the Task Manager.
The right click on IL2 in Task Manager and minimise.
Close down Task Manager and maximise IL2 again --- problem gone.
I dont think I've had the problem since I've been using HSFX4.1

same happens to me . i press window button t gets do DSKTP than i go back i get music . do window again get back and voala my mouse works ..

I use Alt+Tab and then Alt+Shift+Tab.
But I noted that if I use the shortcut in Start menu, the mouse works well.
So try to create a shortcut in Start menu.
