Killer clouds
#1

Hey, ive got a reasonably okay computer except the graphics card, its the standard intel one. Now the game runs fine, fps is mostly okay but whenever there are above average clouds on the map, the fps plummets. ive tried numerous mods reducing the cloud quality but to no avail. Any help?

And btw, someone told me to remove my il2 from the program files into some other folder and the game would run better. Whys that?

sorry, I don't know how to help with your cloud problem, but by putting you Il2 folder as a main directory on your hard drive, your computer doesn't have to go through as many directories to retrieve the files needed to run your game.

This helpful topic by Fireskull http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/...hp?t=22314 is intended to configure your computer for running Il2, might be of assistance to you.

Putting your game in a different directory wont help, this isnt how a pc works.
Here's a fps boost mod: viewtopic.php?t=18289.
To archive a really good fps value, your clouds4x4.tga shoudnt be larger than 1Mb/512x512.
Also in the conf.ini there's a [dgen] section where you can put NoBadWeather=1, helps with dgen campaigns.
