Hello!

I have installed Camera Ship mod in order to improve the quality of my movies but there is no "read me" included. All the related posts I have found on "search" did not help at all, so that I don't have any idea about how this Mod works. By the way, as I have seen, many people have similar difficulties.
Please, could someone give me directions about this Mod or suggest a document and/or tutorial that could help me?

i believe the camera ship mod uses a self-extracting installer so you shouldn't have to go into any files to change anything. then you should be able to select it from the aircraft list as "Camera ship".

I did a manual install.As far as how to do things with this AC,it functions pretty much like an ordinary plane.The real difference is that the plane is invisible and offers an unobstructed view.Can you be a little more specific as to the nature of your problems?

Yes! The main difficulty is related to the low performace of the "invisible plane" (unable to follow jets in action...). I guess it should be possible to replace the cumbersome B-25 for a better plane, but did not discover how to do this yet.

Also, I thought that the "invisible plane" could be attached to other plane in order to follow it closely (I've got this impression after watching some movies) but according to your information it seems to be not the case. Then, probably those moviemakers employed diferent Camera Mods on the same movie.

interestingly enough, i've found the cameraship is actually the Do335. I think they redid it so its faster?

The only way i know this is because when I went into the files to get rid of the engine sounds for movie making, they were linked to the Daimler-Benz DB603. Anyone else confirm this?


I've found a great airplane to use for a cameraship is the BI-1 rocket plane. It can go fast, slow, sprint into position, etc. Plus, you don't have engine sounds to worry about. Just keep hitting Ctrl-F1 until all cockpit/airplane disappears. Voila!

Only down side is it does not give you 360-degree view freedom like the cameraship mod - so you can't do a shot of an airplane while directly in front of it.
