Hi there

Dose any one know if its possible to warp text in photoshop so it would fit into a custom shape, like the red box/shape behind the text in the image below? At the moment the only way I know how to do this is to merge down so the text becomes an image and then distort the image to fit the custom red box/shape, like on the left.

There has to be an easier way!

Ok just when you type the text, right click and on the drop down menu you will see Warp Text, click that then choose one of the styles, I tried the twist one and I was able to tilt the text etc to do what you want.

When I first read your post I thought "I tried messing with Warp Text tool and it didn't work", but then I thought you did it so there must be a way and at that point I realised what you must of done and was like "OMG, it's been starring me right in the face all this time :oops:"
