CK self-shading

Very cool mate Big Grin

Will there be self-shading in the game?

Yes shadows and shading is all done by the game engine.
And is a option in setting to have on or off.

It's just occurred to me ROF tends to be really shiny and the game seems to love lens flare effects and such. So how will CK fare in this department?

And what about DirectX support? I haven't noticed a great difference between DX 9, 10 or 11 come to think of it but still.....

Lens flare should only happen when you are looking towards the sun
And in CK that is when you will see lens flare.

Requirements are right here to see what CK will run on.

These WW1 planes where not extremely shiny take a look at any real WW1
Plane and there are many you can see on you tube and you will see there
Not as shiny as you see them in RoF, take a look at CK planes then go look
At a few real ones on you tube and you will see our planes have just about
The right shin to them, have a look at a few below.

Sorry DM, I wasn't trying to ask the same question just simply does the game (or at least the game engine) support DX10/11?

Is it me or does ROF look a bit cartoony? The Red Baron movie and Flyboys seem to suffer from the same as well, I much prefer the coarse look of RB3D and older games.

The developer will for sure upgrade the game engine to support DX11
When the engine first came out it was DX 9c then when DX 10 came
In he upgraded for both DX 9c and 10 and am sure he will do the same
For DX 11 to add that in there as well.
