HSFX 5.0 with hotfix... can't fly single missions
#1

Hi there.

I'm totally new to IL-2 Sturmovick 1946 and decided to install the HSFX 5.0 and the hotfix. I have it patched up correctly and everything seems to be fine until I activate the history mod in JSGME. I am finding that most of the single missions do not load, stopping at 100% and just freezing but, most frustrating of all, is that all the Luftwaffe missions load up but I either have aircraft infront of me who simply refuse to take off so I never get the chance to get airborne and, in the first of the single missions for Luftwaffe (BF109), the plane appears to drop from a slight height and appears at the very end of the runway and then it says "Engine inoperable".

I've tried installing it in its own directory (At which point it refused to even load) and all the many other suggestions for a Windows 7 installation but nothing I have tried so far seems to fix this. The vanilla version or, indeed, any of the other mods which are present in JSGME (I take it they just come with it?) seems to work perfectly..... its just when I try using the History mod.

I've searched almost everywhere online and I'm not finding any solutions whatsoever or, for that matter, anyone who is experiencing this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. : )

Hi, AlfrescoB and welcome to the website Smile

I recommend reinstalling HSFX after the 4.101 patch

Did you test every download for corrupt files?

If you have the digital download version of IL-2 1946, then you need a special patch so mods can work. That's in my guide here:

Let us know how it goes.

I have exactly the same problem 100% freeze. I can hit esc but then menu is bright blue and corrupted. I have this problem only with some planes like bf.109 F and up. (E version works) F4U4 works, zero works, I dont know what is it.

Just tried the Bf109 single mission, the plane drops immediately to the runway with the "Engine Inoperable" message!!

Otherwise a great mod, though ...

First, a tip of the aviators cap to Aachens. These models behave like real planes. Immersion? My E4 cockpit smells of fuel and oil. This is a serious airplane. Big Grin

I don't understand why single missions aren't on the menu but have to be loaded through the FMB? Is there another work around? :?:

The missions are in the Quick Missions folder with the new parameters. Very interesting Big Grin I'll go from there.
