Quote:...of 1 hour in game...

Well if you asked me I'd make it mandatory for everyone Wink And no 1hr maps either, say 3hrs minimum...

No but seriously, I'd LOVE to see complex subsystem management implemented myself!

simulator hmmm with half of instruments just for look , simplified take off procedure .... real life pilots must laughing their bu**s off

I am a real life, professional pilot. I fly nearly every day for a living. This is not a full blown simulator, we know that, but thats because computers can't handle everything needed to. It is however, considered a simulator more than a game, at least its supposed to be. lol

Because of my profession, thats what gets me aggravated with a lot of the things I see people doing in here with CEM and maneuvers.

so if you are on commodore c64 you would say "soloflight" is simulator not game ....

please back to topic !

How many other combat simulations have fully functional cockpits? How many have any functional instruments whatsoever? How many model torque?

I like you mod work Fly_zo but you clearly have the wrong box... get a few old sims, learn the genre and appreciate what we already have is you can.
On the other hand, we have the fantasy Heinkel Lerche (with a fantasy cockpit), which only ever existed as a sketch on the back of a cigarette packet. It's been given an astonishing power to weight ratio for reasons only known to Luthier and Oleg. Is it a sim, is a game? - no, it's IL2.

- The strait wings of the CR 42 on an I152 might get it to look like a Curtiss Hawk III.
- A B-25 with an SB3 nose might you get a Beachcraft 11T

- Hooks on All jets please? Big Grin

Just to see "straight wings" & "Curtis Hawk" in the same sentence makes me think about the out of whack dihedral of the P-40E & M wings.

I have no idea of the possibilities, but, it would be sweet to think that swapping in the P-40C wings would be a place to start Idea

What about a Heinkel III H-20? It was the upgraded version produced from early 1944, with 13mm machine guns all round and an electrically operated turret on top. It ought to be in the game for eastern front scenarios and indeed for the western front as it was the carrier for many of the V1s launched at England.

What about adding the Mig-9s tail unit to the Ta 183 to have the more "realistic" Design III?
I always wondered why they decided to go with the unfeasible Design II.

While we are at it - maybe we could fake a Mig-15 by giving the Mig-9 the Ta 183s wings?

Another two aircraft that would make alot of sense ingame would be the Me 264 or He 177.

Take the B-29 and give her a twin tailboom ( maybe the B-24's?

Or for the Griffon delete the two outer engines.

What about a B-339D? Would only require the F2A-2 with a reflector gunsight instead of the telescopic sight, plus Buffalo Mk. 1 cockpit reskinned with metric instruments. The F2A-2 never saw combat, but the B-339C and D did.
