uhhh... yeah the F2A-2 did see combat... most notably against the Japanese at Midway

Jump_Pilot Wrote:Like I said, some sounds, adding cockpits to AI to make them flyable and even dimming nav lights is one thing. When you start building your own aircraft we will end up with 10982345897345 different versions of what every different person think is right. I for one don't want this to turn into CFS. Some sort of standard would be nice. So far Zo, you're for anything and everything, that bothers me.

modding means modifications to your taste , everyone has their own desires regarding things changed in game .... as i said there is choice : don't install it and you wont have zillion planes , only those you like . you can't dictate people what they should like just cos you don't like it .... i'm sure there is bunch of people who doesn't care for modified maps and will not install them but i still make them for those who does.

and you right i am for everything cos i'm amazed with people creativity and ideas ...

One thing i will always be against : MODS THAT MESS WITH FM AND ALLOW CHEATING ONLINE!

Me too. If a mod is done very well I am all for having a few absolutely new ww2 planes that aren't available at all partners.

heck many of us cowboys were agains't the iron horse showing up in the area but it got rid of the indians.

The F2A-3 saw combat at Midway, NOT the F2A-2......... Plus, the F2A-3 only saw action twice- in March 1942 when four F2A-3s intercepted two H8K1s off Midway, and in June during the batle of Midway. Compare that to the B-339Cs and Ds which were in action over Malaya/Singapore, Borneo, Ambon and Java from December 1941 to March 1942.
The F2A-3 was on Oleg's list of planes to be added, as were Fokker D.XXI, CW-21B and Avia B-534. But unfortunately there are two chances of that happening, one is slim and the other fat.

Just an idea... how difficult would it be to hack away at a FW-189, to create a de Havilland Vampire?
