Possible to attach planes in mid-air?
#1

I was doing some reading about the I-16, and was very interested to find out that historically it could dock with the TB-3 in mid-air. My attempts to recreate this in game have resulted in nothing but failure so far, and I've become rather discouraged as to whether or not it's possible.

So basically, Would someone check the code to see if it is possible in the game engine to attach an I-16 SPB to the TB-3 SPB while both are in mid-air, and if it isn't, can it be modified?

And one request If you do make this possible, Don't make it too easy to do. Leave it something that requires expert formation flying skills to accomplish.

ok about that I've heard from a few of the RAF662 squad that they've seen it being done in mid air online. I've had a go to try and do that with them as well. Wasn't successful though. One of the things is that once you've attached once you can't re-attach. We attached to the TB3 then took off then detatched then landed and tryed to attach again and it wasn't possible. One more thing when attaching i'm pretty sure that your gears have to be down because when on the ground your gears are down as well.

Sorry I don't know how to check the engine but i hope this helps!

 Did you thought you could do that with a keyboard and without trims?

ok I can't remember if the I16 has trim but i'm not the one who crashed into the TB3 lol I was flying with RAF_Leigh and RAF_Wolf. We all took turns to fly and trim up the TB3 as well as you should know that with level stab on TB3 the tail bobs up and down! Anyway we had landing flaps down so the plane was pretty much stable and flying straight anyway
