Hi guys,

I just installed the bomber pack addon and now all the words in my game are Russian, after about 15-20 seconds the game crashes back to desktop. Yes I have installed everything correctly and run the extra code remover utility but to no avail. I am running Vista Business 32bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have IL-2 in the default \Programs\Ubisoft folder?

NEVER, NEVER install any games in the Vista Program folder, it will not let you overrwrite files or .ini's.

It has to do with Vista's Security System.

Yes of course, I'm not a noob, I have been with Il2 since the demo. It happened just as I have described it. I installed the .91 sound patch along with a few other birds and then I thought I would try the bomber pack and thats where the problem has started. It loads up, all the text is in cyrillic and then it crashes..... :oops:

russian text is normal, i dont have any problems with it because i am from belarus. it is part of the sound mod

I had something like that with a second installed copy of Il2, does yours stall at 95%?

If it does - check your .exe files - I mearly replaced them and it worked fine after that... dont know if thats the prob but its what did it for me

if it quits at under 20% loading on the splash page, check to see if your game sound is set to 44.1 Khz sample rate.

Hi guys thanks for the responses....The game crashes ater it has loaded....You go into QMB to fly one of the new birds and the game just crashes.
